Preparations have been so far completed. Undeterred by difficulties caused by unfavourable weather conditions during the past days, the local organising board has made great efforts to prepare for the event, ensuring the best conditions and absolute safety for the success of the ABG5.
The rain pouring down over the past several days was the cause for some concern, though the Organising Committee has assured the organisation of the event even in unfavourable weather conditions. Da Nang seems to be more tranquil, a difference from what is usually seen in the lead-up to an international-scale sport competition.
Despite that, with the arrival of foreign sport delegations and the launch of the first competitions in Muay, Kabaddi and Marathon Swimming, the atmosphere at ABG5 has warmed up along with the wonderful appearance of sunlight that is ideal for outdoor activities.
Apart from the media, local residents and visitors began to pay more attention to the international-scale event hosted by the central city. The heated Muay competitions in sportsmanship, the perseverance of athletes in Marathon Swimming, or the lesser-known skills of Kabaddi originated from India have attracted bigger crowds.
Following the preparation efforts by all stakeholders, the ABG5 will officially open tonight, marking the start of ten days of enthusiastic, fierce competition in a sportsmanship manner.
