Monday, March 21, 2016- Hanoi, Vietnam, March 16, 2016: Football Thai Factory Sporting Goods (FBT) and Bao Viet Insurance Company have become the first sponsors of the 5th Asian Beach Games-Danang 2016 after signing contracts at the Melia Hotel.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Le Khanh Hai, Deputy Minister of Vietnam Culture, Sports and Tourism and Chairman of the organising committee DABGOC, and by Mr. Vuong Bich Thang, General Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration and Deputy Chairman of DABGOC, along with hundreds of reporters and representatives of DABGOC.
Mr. Le said that Vietnam was honoured to be hosting the 5th Asian Beach Games from September 24-October 3 but, in order to make the event successful, it needed the financial support of the business community, both domestically and from overseas, to reduce costs from the state budget.
According to DABGOC, FBT will sponsor the Games to the tune of 964,300 USD (VND 21.5 billion). Bao Viet Insurance Company will be responsible for underwriting the insurance costs of the Vietnam delegation in a deal worth VND 553.8 million.
DABGOC appreciates the cooperation and co-management of FBT and Bao Viet Insurance Company and hopes that more Vietnamese and foreign companies and enterprises will come forward and join the sponsorship programme.
Mr. Mongchai Chokephaibulkit, Deputy Managing Director of FBT, said it was an honour to be a sponsor and partner of such a big international sports event. “We will bring our expertise and experience to ensure the successful hosting of the 5th Asian Beach Games,” he said.
As one of Vietnam’s biggest insurance companies, Bao Viet feels it is their social responsibility to serve the Games and the national team. Mr. Quach Thanh Nam, Deputy General Director of Bao Viet, said: “Bao Viet is honoured to be chosen as the official insurance company for the Vietnam Delegation.
“Through the sponsorship of health insurance, involving total compensation of up to 90 billion VND for Vietnam's sports delegation, we hope that the athletes will feel confident to produce their best performances and the highest achievements for Vietnam.”
