A flag presentation ceremony was held at the Regal Hongkong Hotel in Hong Kong as the territory's delegation prepare to depart for the upcoming Danang 2016 Asian Beach Games.
Raymond Fan, the deputy director of leisure and cultural services, presented the flag to a number of delegates.
The President and secretary general of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, Timothy Fok and Ronnie Wong, were both in attendance along with Pui Kwan Kay, the Chef de Mission of the Hong Kong delegation at the Asian Beach Games.
This is the fifth time Hong Kong will be participating in the event since its inaugural edition in Bali 2008
A total delegation of 129, including 81 athletes, will represent Hong Kong in Vietnam.
They will be competing in nine sports: beach water polo, marathon swimming, beach athletics, beach handball, beach rowing, beach shuttlecock, beach volleyball, beach woodball and muay thai.
The fifth Asian Beach Games will be hosted in Danang, a major port city of Vietnam, from September 24 to October 3.
It will be the second time that Vietnam will host an Asia level multi-sports event, after Hanoi held the Asian Indoor Games in 2009 and the Southeast Asia Games in 2003.
