Talking with reporters at the ABG5 Main Press Centre, Chultem Otgonbaatar Sato, President of the Mongolian Sports Press Union, spoke highly of host Vietnam’s preparation for and organization of the ABG5. He said that Da Nang City has a long, clean and beautiful coastline. For sports like Muay Thai, beach soccer, beach basketball and Kurash, athletes are always being cheered and supported by crowds of fans. The host country’s organization of matches is commendable.
He said that although Mongolia does not have a coastline, its beach sports delegation won two gold, two silver and three bronze medals, ranking eighth in the medal tally on September 26. Sato admitted that he is very pleased with the achievements made by the Mongolian delegation at the ABG5.
As a member of the Mongolian delegation, Galya, 58, coach of the women’s beach basketball team, said she is very happy to come to Vietnam. She revealed that she had dreamed of visiting Vietnam for a long time and her dream came true at the ABG5.
During the days she joins as a Mongolian basketball player at the ABG5, Galya said she likes the fresh air, green and clean beaches of Da Nang City as well as traditional dishes of the city and Hoi An ancient town. Da Nang’s residents whom she has met with are very friendly and hospitable. She wished the ABG5 in Vietnam a success.
