Coach Toshyia Miura has refused an invitation to become a technical director of V-League side Quang Ninh Coal.
The former Viet Nam national head coach promised to think about the offer, with a rumoured salary of up to US$15,000, when he headed home several days ago.
But the Japanese coach has conveyed his regrets and said he would introduce an experienced colleague for the team.
Miura came to work in Viet Nam for two years. Under his reign, Viet Nam won two bronze medals at the ASEAN Football Federation Cup and the Southeast Asian Games. The U23 squad secured a berth in the AsianChampionships for the first time.
